One of my most cherished childhood memories is watching the holiday parades in Houston. The magical floats, high-flying balloons, marching bands, horses, and my favorite part, the spectacular ending, with Santa on his sleigh.
This year marks 69 years of the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Houston. Held on November 22, Thanksgiving Day from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Smith at Lamar Street in Downtown Houston and the admission is FREE!! General Seating tickets can be purchased on the Visit Houston website.
Viewing areas include, Smith to Walker, Walker to Milam, Milam to Pease, Pease to Louisiana, Louisiana to Clay, with the parade ending at Smith and Dallas.
Here is a map of the parade route.
So whether you are braving the cold downtown or watching the parade on your tv, we here at The Mathieson Group hope your day is magical.
